This house sits on a quiet street corner, with a prominent N-E position. The front of the house is a traditional federation era brick cottage in relatively poor condition, which has been added onto in a rather ad-hoc manner over the years.
Our proposal seeks to bring the house into the 21st century, whilst retaining the traditional aspect of the street frontage. The front rooms are retained, with a new bathroom added in a convenient location. The back of the house steps down half a level to the rear garden, with a large open kitchen living dining. A new parents retreat and nursery located above, taking advantage of district views. The old part of the house and the new addition are connected by a glassed in staircase, serving as a ‘gasket’ between the old and new. A double garage complete with spa and gym complete the rear garden.
